Obituary

Jean T. Boutilier, 89, of Wakefield, died peacefully on April 15, 2019.

She was born and raised in Cambridge was the daughter of the late Edward and Ursula (Duddy) Murphy.

In 1956, Jean and her growing family moved to Wakefield. She was an active member at St. Joseph and St. Athanasius parishes and was a member of the St. Joseph's Sodality and Mother's Club.

After raising her children, she went to work for the IRS in Andover for over 30 years.

She found joy in parenting and taking care of her grandchildren and will always be remembered for her devotion to her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Norman J. Boutilier, cherished mother of Brian G. Boutilier of Haverhill, Claire T. Boutilier of Woburn, Jan M. Freeman and her husband Kevin of Methuen and the late Paul J. and Kevin E. Boutilier, sister of the late Edward S. Russell and Edward S. Murphy, Jr. loving grandmother of Shauna Keane of Fort Mitchell, AL, Scott Freeman of Methuen and Nicole Crockett of Malden, sister-in-law of Dorothy Murphy of Burlington. She is also survived by several nieces.

Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Sat., April 20, from 2:00-5:00 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading, on Mon., April 22, at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oosterman's Wakefield Rest Home, 706 Main St., Wakefield, MA 01880  Attn: Lisa Malonson.
