James Nicholl Jr., 93, of Saugus, peacefully passed away on May 4, 2021.

He was the beloved son of the late James Sr. and Marion Nicholl. Jim was the devoted husband of the late Margaret (Smith) Nicholl for 65 years, loving father of Stephen Nicholl, Gail DeLeire and her husband John, and brother to Ruth Brusseau and the late Florence Sayler. He was the cherished grandfather to Matthew, Connor, Amanda, Tyler and Stephen.

Jim was raised in Everett and moved to Saugus in 1958. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

He enjoyed his career as a researcher at Harvard Medical School. Jim was an active member in his community, Fraternal Member of the William Sutton Masonic Lodge, Past Commander of the American Legion Post 210, Member of the Council of Aging, Treasurer for the Retired Men's Club, trumpet player in the Salvation Army Band and a member of the Methodist Church.

Private services will be held at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
