James Michael Gattoni II, 59, of Attleboro died on August 7, 2023, following a lengthy illness.

James was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1964 and was the son of Judith F. (Schwartz) Gattoni and the late James M. Gattoni.

He was a graduate of Attleboro High School and following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy.

He served for over 20 years in the Navy as a medical corpsman and spent time as part of the Medical Staff at Camp David during the George H.W. Bush presidency.

Known as Jamie to his family and friends, he enjoyed mountain climbing and reading.

He was predeceased by his father, James and brother Daniel Gattoni.

He leaves his mother, Judith, three children, Adam Gattoni, Alex Gattoni Jordan and Jay Adams, his brother Michael, sister, Alison Reyes and four grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
