Jacqueline R. Berwick, 97, of Bedford, died peacefully on Nov. 30, 2018 at the Carleton-Willard Village in Bedford. Born in Jackman, Maine, she was the eldest of five children of the late Alfred and Lorenz (Achey) Morrison. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in South Berwick, Maine and was a member of the Class of 1939. She was married to Alfred G. Berwick on March 29, 1941 at Sacred Heart Church in Newtonville, MA.

Jacqueline Berwick was employed as an accountant with General Telephone & Electronics and retired from the Law Office of Jane Trudeau in Lexington where she worked as an assistant until 1983. Mrs. Berwick was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially appreciated summers at the cottage she built with her late husband, Alfred, at Lake Sebago, Maine.

She loved reading, gardening and crocheting in her spare time. She was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was involved with the planning and construction of the Parish. She was also instrumental in the founding of the Bedford Council on Aging.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra Crowley of McLean, VA, son Christopher Berwick (Marilyn) of Louisville, KY, sister, Agnes Gallagher of Blue Hill, ME; 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Neal and Zachary Berwick, Jacqueline and Brendan Crowley, and Jennifer Tidwell; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Martin Berwick and wife Kathleen, Robert Crowley husband of daughter Sandra and siblings, Francis Morrison, Patricia St. Amour and Charles "Sonny" Morrison.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Tues., Dec. 4, at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford at 10:00 A.M.   Interment will follow at Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
