Helen Natsis Pitarys, of Lexington, passed away on August 22 at the age of 84.

Helen was the beloved wife of James (Jim) Pitarys for 61 years, dear sister of Pauline Barrett and her husband William (Bill), devoted mother of Pamela Benson, Christopher Pitarys, Gregory Pitarys and his wife Susan, and loving grandmother of Matthew Benson, Elena Benson, and Andrew Pitarys.

She was born in Boston on May 21, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Steve and Lulu (Hantis) Natsis, and sister of the late Anna Natsis.

Helen graduated from Newton High School in 1958. She earned her Bachelor's degree in education and taught first grade. Later, Helen pursued an additional degree at Middlesex Community College in nursing. Helen was a warm and caring pediatric nurse of the Weston Pediatrics practice.

Helen and Jim married on July 12, 1964, and later settled into their dream home in Lexington. Her greatest joy was caring for and spending time with her family.

The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam St., Lexington, on Tuesday, August 26, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, in Lexington.
