Helen E. Nowers' Obituary
Helen E. Nowers, 97, of Bedford, died following a brief illness on December 26, 2012.
Mrs. Nowers was born in Lynn, Mass. on June 15, 1915, to the late Thomas and Anabel (Southard) Emery. She was the widow of E. Stanley Nowers.
She was a graduate of Lynn English High School and received her degree in business from Simmons College in 1937.
A self-employed certified public accountant, she retired at the age of 75.
Mrs. Nowers was active in the New England Wildflower Society where she served as an honorary Trustee and former Teasurer.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Nowers of Wales, Mass. and her granddaughter,
Katrina Kotler of Haverhill.
Her memorial service will be held at the The First Parish in Bedford, 75 The Great Rd., Bedford, on January 13, 2013, at 3:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The New England Wildflower Society, 180 Hemenway Rd., Framingham, MA 01701.
