Helen Marjorie (O'Keefe) Mead, 87, of Bedford died on April 20, 2014.  Marge was born June 11, 1926, in Quincy, one of six children of the late Leo and Ethel (McNally) O'Keefe.

Marge graduated from Carney Hospital School of Nursing before marrying Robert Mead of Arlington on September 19, 1948.

She was a loving and ultimate caregiver to family and friends.  Marge will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Bob, her nine children; Bob and his wife Gail, Ken and his wife Pam, Ron and his wife Martha, Jerry, Judy and her husband Carl Wilson, Rich, Jan and her husband Steve Surrette, Susan and her husband David Hawkins and Dan Mead; along with her twenty-five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  She is also survived by cousin/friend Barbara (Desmond) Hoefsmit, sisters-in-law Kay and Doris O'Keefe, in-laws and many, many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her sisters, Jean Kent and June Mullaney and brothers, Leo, Bill and Bob O'Keefe.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd, Bedford, on Saturday, April 26 at 11 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice honoring Marge's love of nursing and caregiving.
