Gertrude B. "Trudi" Widrick, 86, of Billerica died at her home peacefully on May 18, 2013.
Mrs. Widrick was born in Scipio, New York and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Weaver) Burtless.
She was a longtime resident of Carlisle and former bookkeeper for Assurance Technology in Carlisle. In the late 1940's prior to her marriage, she worked as a child's nurse and also was a receptionist for a veterinarian.
Mrs. Widrick was a member of The First Religious Society in Carlisle and was active in the community. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and her monthly outings with the Women's Lunch Group.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rev. Eugene R. Widrick, Minister emeritus, The First Religious Society in Carlisle, her son, Nathan and his wife, Alison of North Woodstock, NH, daughter, Nancie Salguero of Billerica, four grandchildren, Sean, Cassie Lynn and Andrea Widrick and Stefanie Salguero and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Marguerite Cappy, brothers, Raymond and Charles Burtless and foster daughter, Pam (Tatro) Harrington.
A memorial service will be held at the First Religious Society, 27 School St., Carlisle, on
June 1, 2013, at 10:00 A.M.
