George J.
Koller
Apr 9, 1947 — Apr 20, 2020
George J. Koller, 73, of Boxborough, MA, died at Emerson Hospital on April 20 th , 2020 following complications from hip surgery and a brief battle with COVID-19.
George was born in Waterbury, CT, the son of George and Rosemary (Bernier) Koller. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Jackie Koller of Boxborough, and by his daughter Kerri Mercier and her husband Ray, of Pepperell, son Ryan Koller and his wife Suzanne of Bedford, and son Devin Koller and his wife Erin of Northampton. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Sawyer and Quinn Mercier, June and Wes Koller, and Anna and Oliver Koller. He also leaves a brother, Charles Koller and his wife Denise, of Prospect, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews.
George graduated with a BS from the University of Connecticut, where he played varsity football, and went on to receive his MBA from the University of Hartford. He worked in healthcare administration for the majority of his career, most recently as President of Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA, and before that as Vice President of St. John's Hospital in Lowell.
Family was George's greatest joy. He loved holiday gatherings and spending summers with his children and grandchildren at the Cape. Some of his passions were UConn Women's Basketball, Christmas music, and telling jokes, although he was quite famous for blowing the punchlines. To know George was to love him. It was that simple. He was the definition of a good man in every sense, and he will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
