G. Marie Ryan of Bedford, formerly of Arlington, April 29, 2012, at Carleton-Willard Village in Bedford at the age of 87.

Marie was the wife of the late Nicholas P. Ryan. Marie spent most of her life in Arlington, graduating from Arlington High School and serving on the Board of Directors of the Arlington Boys and Girls Club. She spent most of her summers in Manomet.

She was the mother of the late David Allen Ryan and his wife Sue of Miami, FL. She is also survived by her son Peter and his wife, Judy of Lowell, a daughter Pamela (Palma) of Maine, five grandchildren, Kristen Vernaglia and her husband Sean of Stoneham, Peter Ryan Jr. and his wife, Beth of Chicago, Keri Ryan of Lowell, Georgia Barnes and her husband Edward of Portland, ME and Kimberly Ryan of Boston. Marie also leaves four great grandsons. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth (Bette) Mahoney.

Her funeral will be held from the funeral home Thurs., May 3, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.

Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Wed., May 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Burial will be private.
