Frederick W. Priebe Jr., 82, of Waltham died on May 25, 2015, in Acton.

He was born in Somerville on July 9, 1932, and was the son of the late Frederick W. and Meta E. (Mix) Priebe.

He lived most of his life in Cambridge and was a graduate of Rindge Technical School, Class of 1949

Frederick served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post. He was also a longtime member of First Lutheran Church of Boston and the Lutheran Church of the Savior in Bedford.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Foerster) Priebe and son Craig Priebe both of Waltham, one sister Marion Gecks and her husband Donald of Chelmsford, his sister-in-law, Marilyn Priebe of Falmouth and five nieces and nephews and their spouses, Dianne Carey and Daniel of Chelmsford, Bruce Gecks and Kathleen of Falmouth, Carole Burns and Douglas of Westford, David Gecks and Norma Jean of Derry, NH and Stephen Gecks and Lisa of Shirley.

He was predeceased by his brother Richard and cousins Robert Mix and Evelyn Gjertsen.

His funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Savior, Bedford, on Fri. May 29, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Thurs., from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery.
