Frances R. Stephan, 74, of Andover, died on June 16, at her home.

Mrs. Stephan was born in Lewiston, Maine, on March 3, 1938, to the late Bernard and Lumina (Poulin) Renaud.

Mrs. Stephan was retired from the Tewksbury public school system, where she worked for 30 years. At the time of her retirement, she was the Department Head of foreign languages for French and Spanish.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Stephan; stepchildren; Eric G. Stephan and his wife, Gina of Bedford and Linda Cross and her husband, Stephen of Nashua, NH.; a sister, Constance Moody, and brother, Joseph Renaud, and grandchildren, Connor and Caitlyn Stephan of Bedford. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeannie McCarn.

Her funeral service will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 451 Lowell St., Lexington, on Wednesday, June 20, at 10:30 A.M. Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, June 19, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
