Obituary

Eunice E. Field, 94, of Acton and formerly of Bedford, died on November 15, 2018.

She was born in Deerfield, the daughter of hardworking Ukranian immigrants, the late George and Anna (Dubyna) Chapley.

She was a graduate of Deerfield High School and it was during her high school years that she met the love of her life, Sheldon W. Field, who was working as a record player repairman and made a house call to fix her parents record player.

Following graduation, she attended nursing school in Springfield where she was trained as an IV nurse during World War II.

Sheldon and Eunice were married and moved to Bedford in 1947 and their beloved and only daughter, Barbara (Field) MacDonald was born a year later.

Eunice was always very proud of growing up on a farm in Deerfield and the work ethic which was instilled by her parents. She was an amazing gardener and could make anything grow.

Eunice will be remembered as a generous friend.

She has joined her beloved husband and daughter, Sheldon W. Field and Barbara MacDonald in eternal rest. She is survived by her cherished granddaughter Heather MacDonald of Bedford and son-in-law Joel MacDonald of FL. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Eva, Paul, George and Joseph Chapley.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.
