Esther V. Mancini, 92, of Bedford, died on November 10, 2016.

She was born in Boston's North End on February 14, 1924 to the late Attilio and Mattilda Ragnetti.

Esther was married in Cambridge on June 19, 1949 to Guy G. Mancini who died on January 17, 1987.

After her husband's death, Esther kept herself busy by becoming involved with many organizations within the community and her Catholic faith.

A devoted parishioner at St. Michael Parish, she was a Eucharistic Minister at the 7:00 AM Sunday Mass and for several years was the Prefect of St. Michael Sodality. She was a former chairperson of the Bedford Women's Club, former President of the Eastern District Women's Club, former President of the Golden Age Club, former Manager of the Bedford Friendly Visitor Program, former President of the South Postal Women's Auxiliary, and longtime participant of the Bedford Council on Aging.

She was devoted to her family and friends and her hobbies included sewing, making many of her own clothes, baking ravioli and apple squares and bird watching and gardening. She enjoyed concerts on the common and overnight trips with friends with the COA.

She is survived by her sons, Guy M. Mancini and his wife Catherine of Andover and Michael W. Mancini of Bedford, her grandson, Guy George Mancini of Woburn and her sister Rita McAleavey of Stoneham. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna Antle, Angelina Brewster and Emma Zagarella and her brother, Michael Ragnetti.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Monday, November 14, at 8:00 AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 AM. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13, from 2:00-5:00 PM.
