Elizabeth P. Steward, 91, of Billerica, formerly of Bedford died on March 16, 2019, in Lincoln with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Steward was born in Boston on July 7, 1927, and she was the daughter of the late John and Blanche (Simmons) Price.

She was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1945. It was in high school that she met her future husband, Fred Steward. They were married on September 24, 1949 at Trinity Church in Boston.

Mrs. Steward worked for many years at The Gift Center in Bedford and taught Sunday School at Trinity Church in Boston for 45 years. She had been a Bedford resident for 27 years.

Her family will remember her as a kind, caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Steward was predeceased by her husband Fred in 2016 and sisters, Marjorie Price, Mary Fuller, Charlotte Campbell and Dorcas Libby.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Johnson and her husband, Doug of Bedford, her sister, Emily Price of Arlington, four grandchildren, Derek and his wife Michelle, Kevin, Scott and Lauren all of Bedford and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Emily.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Bigelow Chapel, 580 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge on Thursday, March 21, at 11:30. Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., on Wednesday, March 20 from 4:30 to 7:00.
