Elizabeth Ann Lussier (Russo), 59, of Leominster and formerly of Bedford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 1, 2022. Elizabeth was born on January 29, 1963, to Augustine Russo Sr. and the late Caryl (O'Brien) Russo.

Even from a young age, Elizabeth faced adversity with strength, love, and poise. She battled kidney nephritis for many years as a child alongside the support and affection of her family, until she was cured as a young adult. Elizabeth treasured many of her childhood memories with her large, close-knit family. She enjoyed riding horses, swimming in the backyard pool, and playing the piano. She was also an active member of the Girl Scouts in her mother's troop. With her mom, Elizabeth also raised thousands of dollars for the National Kidney Foundation through backyard plays, block parties, and more. As a young adult, she was also recognized for her work as a candy striper at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn.

Elizabeth graduated from Bedford High School in 1981 and went on to study at Bentley College (now Bentley University). She graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1985, and became the first person in her family to achieve such an honor. With her education, Elizabeth established a successful career as an independent bookkeeper.

When asked about her job, however, Elizabeth wouldn't tell you about bookkeeping; she would simply state that she is a mom. In 1994, Elizabeth married Craig Lussier and they set their roots down, building a beautiful home in Leominster. Over the next 5 years, Elizabeth became the proud mom of Brenton, Tyler, and Connor. Her children were her life, her joy, and her heart. Everything Elizabeth did was for her boys. Elizabeth was always unconditionally loving and selfless, and wanted nothing more than to see her boys happy, healthy, and together. The accomplishments of her children are a reflection of Elizabeth and the values she instilled in them.

Family meant the world to Elizabeth. She had a passion for hosting various holidays and celebrations. Her extended family found so much joy in Elizabeth's homemade game shows and delicious brownies. Elizabeth also enjoyed watching game shows, playing board games, and taking her boys on vacation every summer. These traditions continued into the boys' adult lives, and the family recently took trips to Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, and Portland, ME.

Elizabeth's strength as a child blossomed into full-fledged courage and determination as an adult. For almost eight years, Elizabeth battled pulmonary fibrosis. With every challenge, Elizabeth defied all odds. Her will to live with and for her family was unparalleled. Helen Reddy's I Am Woman became Elizabeth's anthem as her strength and invincibility allowed her to do anything.

Elizabeth's family and friends will miss her dearly. She is the beloved wife of Craig Evans Lussier. Loving mother of Brenton Andrew Lussier, Tyler Evans Lussier and his companion Shannon Herdegen, and Connor Matthew Lussier and his companion Catherine Marcus. Devoted daughter of Augustine John Russo Sr. and the late Caryl Ann Russo. Beautiful daughter-in-law of Perry Lussier and the late Ronald Lussier. Caring sister of Augustine Russo Jr. and his companion Kimberly Rogers of Westford, Christine Russo-Martines of Bedford, Mark Russo and his wife Debbie of Westford, Patricia Prescott of Chesterfield, VA, Caryn Russo and her companion Beau Beaudoin of Atkinson, NH, and the late John Russo and Beverly Russo. Adoring aunt of Deborah and Delaney Prescott, and Alyssa and Nicholas Russo. Attentive niece of Joanne Spinale of Naples, FL, Beryl Finn of Malden, and the late Jane Soule. Also, a cherished cousin, friend, and neighbor to many.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday, December 9, from 5:00-7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Parish, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, December 10, at 9:00 AM. Private burial at Shawsheen Cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Elizabeth cherished St. Jude and supported them throughout her lifetime.
