Obituary

Elizabeth H. Henderson, 70, of Bedford, died on January 2, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Henderson, was born in Boston on January 16, 1943, and she was the daughter of the late Ross and Isabel (Morrison) Harris.

Known to her family and friends as Betty, she was a self-employed hairdresser for over twenty years. Her shop, The Beauty Mart was located on Great Plain Ave. in Needham.

In 1970, she moved from Brookline to Bedford following her marriage to Earl R. Henderson.

While living in Bedford, she was a member of the First Church of Christ, Congregational and in earlier years was a member of International Order of Rainbow Girls.

She was a devoted wife, stepmother and grandmother. She lovingly cared for her grandchildren while their parents worked and enjoyed participating in their active lives.

She was predeceased by her husband Earl, sister, Janet Slaughter and brother, Sam Harris.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her stepdaughters, Jo-Ann Anderson of Chatham and Janet Henderson of Haverhill and her grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Kelly Reardon, Shaun, Scott and Brady Yanosick.

Her funeral service will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, Saturday, January 11, at 11:00 A.M.
