Obituary

Elizabeth A. Gallant, 80, (Beth) of Bedford passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA. She was born in Winthrop MA on May 24, 1946.

Beth was the second of nine children born to Paul B. Gallant and Elizabeth A (Stoecker) Gallant.

Beth was a 1964 graduate of Bedford High School. She had a life-long love of horses and was an active member of the Bedford Boots and Saddles Club in the 1960's. She would go on to ride in horse shows, provide care for horses, own a beautiful quarter horse named "Red". She earned many ribbons and trophies which gave her an enormous sense of pride and fulfilment. Her career as an electronics technician led her to work for government contracted companies including Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

Beth was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by Charles Yauckoes, her partner of more than 30 years; and six brothers: Paul Jr (Mary Alice), Jeffrey, Mark (Robin), Richard (Teresa), Stephen, and Gregory; and two sisters: Martha, and Sarah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Beth was independent minded and strong willed. She blazed her own path. She loved gardening, trips to the Cape for walks at the canal, dining out, old movies and westerns. Beth had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed a good joke. Her infectious laugh brought joy to the room. She was a loving partner and a loyal friend. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Beth's memory to be sent directly to the following organization that provides rescue and sanctuary for horses, ponies, and other farm animals: Mills River Rescue and Sanctuary P.O. Box 893 Marstons Mills, MA. 02648
