Elaine A. Mahan, 76, of Bedford, formerly of Waltham, died on June 4, 2019, in Reading.

Elaine was born in Waltham and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Mahan. She is survived by three sisters, Anne Marie McKenzie and her husband Bernard and Carolyn Strange and her late husband Ernie both of Framingham and Mary Marino and her husband Charles of Nahant, four nephews, Michael Strange and his wife Jennifer and Brandon Strange and his wife Nicole both of Framingham, Charles Marino and his wife Christine of Cape May, NJ and Christopher Marino and his wife Melanie of Nahant. She is survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Elaine was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1961 and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Northeastern University.

She was employed by Hewlett Packard in Andover for her entire career. She held various positions over the years and retired in 2006 as a quality engineer.

She had resided in Bedford since 1976 and was an active member of the Bedford Council on Aging where she enjoyed the line dancing program. Elaine also enjoyed traveling to foreign countries with friends.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Monday, June 10, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church at 10:00. Family and friends will gather for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland, MA.
