Eileen C. Putney, 77, of Bedford died on November 11, 2014, in Concord.
Mrs. Putney was born and raised in Waltham, Mass. and was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Smith) Rice.
She was a member of the Class of 1955 at Waltham High School and it was during her high school years that she met her husband, Lewis M. Putney. They were married on September 26, 1964.
Mrs. Putney had lived in Bedford since 1967. She was a former employee of Lincoln Labs of Lexington and Mitre Corp. of Bedford and was a parishioner at St. Michael Church of Bedford.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis M. Putney, two children, William L. Putney and his wife Mandy Manocchio of Franklin and Catherine M. Putney and her husband Barry Yaceshyn of Acton, her brother, John Rice of East Lyme, CT and grandchildren Trey and Kai Putney and Riley and Jake Yaceshyn. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Davidson and Patricia Rice and bother William Rice.
Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Fri., Nov. 14, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Thurs., Nov. 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
