Dr. Edgar S. Miller, 95, of Carlisle, died on March 28, 2022, at his home.

Born in Abington, PA, on February 7, 1927, he was the son of the late David H. and Louise C. (Geiger) Miller.

He attended high school in Abington and was a 1949 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Pre-medicine major. He attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1954.

He completed his residency in Boston and practiced there before moving his office to Concord. In 1998 he built his current home, where he had an adjacent medical office and continued to see patients until one week before his death.

Dr. Miller was a long-time member of the Carlisle Congregational Church.

He enjoyed flying airplanes, sailing, photography, golfing, and was also a musician who played the piano and baritone horn.

He was the husband of the late Jacqueline (Sawyer) Miller, father of the late Nancy Miller and brother of the late David Miller.

He is survived by his son, Bruce Miller and his wife Petra and their daughter, Hanna of Germany, and two daughters, Susan Miller and Carol Miller and her husband Andy Weisskoff, both of New Gloucester, ME.

A memorial service will be held at the Carlisle Congregational Church, 147 School St., Carlisle, on Thursday, April 7, at 2:00 PM.
