Obituary

Dr. Douglas A. Teeter and Terri L. Stull unexpectedly passed away in a car accident on March 28, 2022.

Doug was born December 19, 1964 to Robert and Catherine (DeVries) Teeter in Richmond, Virginia. Doug received his bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Doug continued his education at University of Michigan graduating with his master's and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering. In addition to his educational achievements, Doug was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all. Doug was also a loved member of Hancock United Church of Christ where he served as head deacon.

Doug had a thirst for knowledge that never seemed to be quenched. Doug was always looking for opportunities to learn all that he could and would research even the smallest purchase to ensure the best solution was found. You could always depend on Doug to find the perfect fit.

Doug would ride his bike at every opportunity he had; rain or shine. Doug always made sure to seize every opportunity to spend time with his sons; with skiing being one of his favorite activities.

Terri was born November 2, 1965 to Robert and Barbara Stull in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Terri received her bachelor's degree in Physics at Hope College. Terri continued her education at the University of Michigan where she received her master's degree in electrical engineering. Terri was an intelligent woman who was a trailblazer in the engineering field and inspired many others to pursue their passions no matter the obstacles.

Terri was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Family was everything to Terri as she was devoted to her two sons and always looked forward to the yearly trips back to Michigan.

Terri was a talented pianist who had a deep passion for music. The piano was a sacred place for her that brought her a sense of peace whenever she played. Terri also loved to read and volunteer in various committees at Hancock United Church of Christ.

Both Doug and Terri were amazing individuals, but together they spread so much light into the world. Doug and Terri met at the University of Michigan and then married on September 26, 1992 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Doug and Terri were the definition of a power couple who thrived in the electrical engineering field. Both were devoted to their jobs and held much deserved pride in their work.
