Douglas L. Milroy, 56, of Bedford, MA died on August 6, 2013.

Douglas was born in Rockford, Illinois on February 27, 1957, and was the son of the late Eldon and Rhoda Milroy.

He was raised in Sudbury and was a graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury High School, Class of 1975. He received his accounting degree from Bentley University in 1979.

As an entrepreneur, he started businesses including Industrial Heating Supply, M&M Landscaping and Cam Truck Lease. A licensed stock broker, he also worked for Prudential Securities and Fidelity Investments.

Douglas loved the stock market, music, gardening and boating.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Mastromatteo) Milroy of Bedford, his mother-in-law, Eleanor Mastromatteo of Bedford, his sister, Janis of Bloomfield, CT, brothers, Dennis Milroy and his wife, Pauline of Colorado Springs, CO and Ralph Milroy and his wife, Debbie of Ipswich, and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, Fri., Aug. 9 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held Sat., Aug 10, at 10 AM at The First Parish in Bedford-Unitarian Universalist Church, 75 Great Rd, Bedford.

Burial will be private.
