Dorothy C. Roome, 95, of Arlington, died on November 5, 2013.

Born in Boston on October 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (King) MacDonald.

Mrs. Roome was raised East Boston and resided in Bedford for over 50 years where she raised her family.

She was a member of St. Michael Parish and enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting, knitting and needlework.

Mrs .Roome was predeceased by her husband Everett G. Roome, her son, Douglas, sister Margaret Musto and brothers, John, William and Edwin MacDonald.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Palmieri and her husband, Joseph of Arlington, her daughter-in-law, Susan Roome of Utica, NY, five grandchildren, Joseph, Stacey and Daniel Palmieri, Kristy Roome and Katy McOwen and three great grandchildren, Grace, Grant and Graig.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, Mon., Nov. 11, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sun., Nov.7, from 2:00-6:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
