Dorothy A. Finlayson, 95, of Arlington, died at her home on January 19, 2026,

Dorothy was born in Boston on September 18, 1930, and was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary A. (Stanley) Dickson.

A long-time Arlington resident, she worked as a secretary at the First Baptist Church of Arlington for many years where she was also an active church member since 1946.

She was a member of the Lexington Golf Club since 1979.  In addition to enjoying golf, she also loved playing bridge, bowling and growing her own tomatoes.

She is survived by her five children, Carol Bragg and her husband Ben of Woburn, Jack Finlayson of Billerica, Linda Hubbard of Burlington, David Finlayson and his wife Jeanne of Dennis and Laura Wilczewski and her husband Kevin of Lexington, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild and her sister-in-law, Gisela Dickson of Burlington.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Finlayson and her siblings, Ralph Dickson, Mary Jayne Ramsay, Barbara Dickson, Joe and Will Dickson.

Private graveside services were held at Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
