Obituary

Army Staff Sergeant Donald Davidson formerly of Brick, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 12:08 a.m. at the VA hospital in Bedford, MA., ending a three year battle against Alzheimer's disease.

Sgt. Davidson was recognized as an instructor in the maintenance and operation of the Hawk Missile radar system. He was also recognized for his work as a Non-commissioned Officer in charge of the "Alcohol and Drug abuse Prevention and Control" program at Fort Bliss, Texas. He honorably served his country for 27 years in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

He leaves behind his son Jeffery Davidson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his daughter Debra Davidson Cardy of North Canton, Ohio and five grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Carol Bardaro of Revere, Ma, his brothers, Robert Davidson of Malden, MA, Mark Mackenzie of Manchester, N.H, Jimmy Mackenzie of Revere, and Richard Davidson of Andover, MA. He was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Davidson of Tewksbury.

While services will be private, everyone is encouraged to support Sgt. Davidson, his family and the many thousands of others and their families who are fighting their own battle with Alzheimer's disease by donating to the National Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or by considering volunteering at a local chapter.
