Cindy died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on October 22, 2018.

Born in Newton, MA on June 4, 1950.

She received her Bachelors degree from Northeastern and Masters degree from Boston College.

For 36 years, she taught at Perkins School for the Blind. She authored Beyond Pegboards and received the Principals of Schools for the Blind award for Outstanding Teacher of Students who are Blind/Multiply Impaired.

She was passionate about her students, garden, traveling, and surrounding herself with family and friends in her kitchen.

She was the loving wife of Robert T. Christensen. Devoted mother of Rory Malloy and her husband Johnathan of Kennebunk, ME. Sister of Susan O'Connor of Dublin, Ireland and Elizabeth Bianchi of Eastham, MA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jennifer O' Connor, Michelle O'Connor, Joseph Bianchi and Patrick Bianchi.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd, Bedford, on Thurs., Oct. 25, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Graveside service at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St., Newton on Fri., Oct. 26, at 11:00 A.M.
