Catherine A. Pearson, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital on May 5, 2026.  She was 84 years old.

Born to the late Matthew and Anastasia March, Catherine was raised on the family farm in Bethlehem, Connecticut along with her siblings Barbara, Tom, Motty, and Jim.  Growing up on the farm, she developed a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors as well as a tenacious work ethic — "farm strong" as her family likes to say.

She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Anselm's College, beginning a remarkable career dedicated to the care of others.

Catherine devoted nearly 50 years to the nursing profession. She spent the majority of her career at New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham and later at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

Catherine married her beloved husband Fred Pearson in November 1967.  Together they built a beautiful life, filled with love, laughter, and family.  She was predeceased by Fred in 2003.

She is survived by her children, Glen Pearson and his wife Jessica of Pensacola, FL, Eric Pearson and his wife Amy of Bedford, and Linda Pearson of Bedford, her grandchildren, Olivia, John, Kimber and Colt, as well as her siblings and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her brother Tom in 2024.

She was an avid bridge player who cherished evenings with friends around the card table, sipping wine and swapping stories. She spent many afternoons tending to her garden and challenging herself with puzzles.   But above all else she loved spending summers at the family home in Jaffrey, NH with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed rigorous walks to the horse barn and lazy days swimming and floating in the pond.

Catherine was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael's, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, May 9, at 9:00 AM. Private interment will follow.
