Catherine Wai Chung Chan, 78, of Somerville, died suddenly on July 31, 2023.

She was born and raised in Hong Kong, where she worked as an elementary school teacher for many years.

In 2007, she permanently moved to the United States and lived in Somerville.

She loved music and art and was talented in Chinese calligraphy and enjoyed travelling.

She is survived by her children, Kitty Lee and her husband Christopher Lok of RI and Chanson Lee and his wife Ronnie Lee of Shrewsbury and grandchildren, Kristy and Edmund Lok and Enoch and Josuha Lee.
