Borghild 'Boy' (Pedersen) Dyson, 96, of Concord died on March 12, 2015, in Concord.

Mrs. Dyson was born in Moss, Norway on June 15, 1918, and she was the daughter of the late Christian and Kathrina (Olsen) Pedersen.

The Pedersen family came to the United States from Norway in 1924 and settled in Carlisle. Their home was located at 698 Concord St. which is currently owned by the Carlisle Historical Society and serves as its headquarters and museum.

Mrs. Dyson was a graduate of Concord High School and she later completed business courses at Burdett School in Boston.

During World War II, she was employed at Raytheon and in later years worked as an accountant for H.B. Knowles in Lincoln. For several years she also drove a school bus for Concord-Carlisle High School students.

While living in Carlisle, she was a member of the Carlisle Garden Club. She and her husband eventually retired to Portsmouth R.I. She was also a member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Sons of Norway and the Rose Island Light House Foundation in Newport, RI.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwin, her son, Arne Dyson and eleven siblings.

Mrs. Dyson is survived by her daughter Karen LaMonds and her husband, Oz of Manassas, VA, two grandchildren, Julia D. Forbes of Fort Collins, CO and Christopher Dyson of Boxboro, and daughter-in-law, Janet (Sleeper) Dyson of Boxboro and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with burial will be at Green Cemetery in Carlisle on June 13, 2015 at 11:00 am.
