Barbara A. Paul, 92, of Bedford and formerly of Lexington, died on May 14, 2018.

She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hendry) Forbes.

For many years, she was better known as Madame Paul to students in Lexington elementary schools where she taught French.

She is survived by her husband, William Paul, and her children, Fiona E. Paul of Lexington and David Paul of Arlington and her beloved grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, May 19, from 12:00-2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:30PM.
