Barbara Ann Dyment (Scrymgeour), 85, of Bedford, MA passed away on January 8th, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Remembering and celebrating the life of Barbara are her four children, Scott and his wife Joanna, Andrew and his wife Laurie, Barry, and Heather. She also leaves behind her sister Polly and brother Charles, her grandchildren Samantha and her husband Michael, Tyler, Michelle, Jessica and her spouse Chang-hwan, and her great-grandchildren Eleanor and Russell.

Preceding Barbara in death are her parents Charles and Olive Scrymgeour, and her husband Wilfred.

Barbara was a member of the first graduating class of Bedford High School in 1958. She started her family in 1960 and after the death of her husband in 1973, Barbara supported her four children on her own. Barbara's home was a rotating door of family and friends, and she always had an open seat at the dinner table. She enjoyed going out dancing, traveling to different states, visiting animals at the zoo, tending to her garden and houseplants, spending time with her family and eating sweets.

A graveside service and celebration of Barbara's life will be planned for the spring.
