Barbara M. Donovan died on September 26, in Concord.

Mrs. Donovan was a longtime Bedford resident and had lived in Littleton for the past few years.

She was a former employee of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. of Boston and retired from Sentry Insurance Co. of Concord.

She met George L. Donovan Jr. during World War II while he was stationed in Germany. They were married in 1948.

While living in Bedford, Mrs. Donovan was a member of St. Michael Parish and the Sodality. With her husband George, they participated in many activities at the Senior Citizens Center.

George died in 2012.

She was the loving mother Karen Logan and her husband Kevin "Max" Logan of Nashua, NH, dear sister of the late Loni Hoffmann, sister-in-law of Constance (Donovan) Dodge of Billerica, aunt of Gerhard Hoffmann of Germany and many other nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, Sat., Oct. 4, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.
