Miss Antoinette "Ann" Lia, 90, of Boston died on October 1, 2012, following a lengthy illness.

Miss Lia was born in Boston, Mass. on February 25, 1922, to the late Frank and Concetta (Anastasia) Lia.

She was a graduate of Boston High School and was a lifelong Boston resident.

Miss Lia was employed as an executive secretary by the Social Security Administration in Boston. She was a dedicated employee for 30 years in the Office of Disability Appeals.

She loved classical music and the opera. An avid follower of politics, she also loved sports, following closely the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, especially the career of her favorite, Tom Brady.

She was predeceased by her brother, Augustine Lia.

Miss Lia is survived by two sisters, Josephine Copeland of Clinton, and Rose Deaver of Chicago, IL, her sister-in-law, Maxine Lia of Arlington, VA, nieces, Rosemary Norton and her husband, Jim, Jeanne Deaver-Higgins and her husband, Keith, nephews, Robert Deaver and his wife, Karla, James Copeland and his wife, Kathryn, Albert Copeland and his wife, Siea and John Copeland and his wife, Andrea Briggs, cousins, The Rev. Francis Fornaro and his spouse, Chuck Frates, and Michelle and Joe Gillig and their sons.

Family and friends will gather at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday, October 5, at 9:30 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Brigid's Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
