Anthony L. Passera, 92, of Bedford died in Burlington on August 25.

Mr. Passera was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the son of the late Anthony J. and Elsa (Rovetti) Passera.

An Army veteran of World War II, he served from 1943 to 1946 in the Philippines and New Guinea with Company B 3170th Signal Service Battalion.

He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Virginia where he earned his bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering.

He was employed for many years by the Department of Transportation and also NASA. He retired in 2002 at the age of 80.

A longtime resident of Bedford, he was a member of St. Michael Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Ann R. Passera, son Anthony of New City, NY and daughter, Elsa A. Passera of Bedford.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, August 29.

Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
