Alice Margaret (Ruble) Liley, formerly of Bedford, MA, passed away on the evening of February 22, 2014, following a ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease while being attended to by loving and caring staff members at Pink Bud Home for The Golden Years in Greenwood, AR. Alice was 90 years old.

Alice Margaret Ruble was born in Boston, MA on December 14, 1923. She was the fourth child and the first daughter of Thomas Ford Ruble and Gertrude Ellen (Harrington) Ruble.

She was a devoted wife and mother and a devout Catholic. Until her early eighties, Alice loved to play tennis and bridge and go for long walks.

Alice married William Lester Liley, Jr. (son of William Lester Liley and Esther Lillian Rietz) on August 19, 1945 in Medford, MA. William preceded her in death on October 29, 1999.

Alice is survived by her three children: Dr. Paul Thomas Liley of Anchorage, AK., Mary Ellen Liley Cogbill of Fort Smith, AR. and William Keith Liley of Greenwood, AR.; her two siblings Richard Louis Ruble and Mary Therese Ruble Cook, both of Woburn, MA; her three grandchildren Dr. James Michael Cogbill, Jr. and Kathleen Ellen Cogbill Warr of VA and Marie Liley of AK; as well as two great-grandchildren Olivia Mae Warr and Ingrid Ellen Warr both of VA.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church on Saturday, April 5 at 9 A.M. followed by burial at Shawsheen Cemetery.
