Alice O. Cretecos, 93, of Bedford died on August 7, 2014, in Concord.

Mrs. Cretecos was born in Peabody on Feb. 19, 1921, and she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Martha (Valia) Sadler.

She was raised in Lynn, Mass. and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

During World War II, she was employed at the General Electric plant in Lynn and the Watertown Arsenal and in later years worked for Utica Mutual Insurance in Waltham and the Pewter Pot in Lexington.

She was the wife of the late James A. Cretecos and sister of the late Michael, Stephen and Paul Sadler.

She is survived by her two sons, John of Bedford and James and his wife Linda of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, her sister, Mary Lemieux and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Fri. Aug. 15 from 9:30-10:30A.M., followed by a graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody.
