Alexander V. Caporizzo, 91, of Bedford, died on April 16, 2016.

Mr. Caporizzo was born in Walkers Mill, Pennsylvania, on July 28, 1924, and he was the son of the late Alessandro and Carmela (Pagliucca) Caporizzo and brother of the late Vincent Caporizzo.

He was married at St. Michael's Church in Bedford in 1951 to the former Josephine C. Iovino. They lived in Bedford since their marriage.

For 45 years, Mr. Caporizzo was a machinist at Microwave Associates in Burlington, now called M/A Com.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved music and was an accomplished musician who played the accordion and piano for local bands.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine, and their children Karen Caporizzo of Fitchburg, Alexander Caporizzo and his wife, Marilyn of Chelmsford, John Caporizzo and his fiancée, Christine Reuter of Billerica and Debra Caporizzo also of Billerica and a sister, Nina Padalino of PA.

His funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Wed., April 20, at 8:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tues., April 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Burial will be in Shawsheen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923 for the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
