Albie Joseph Peter Jarvis, 91, of Carlisle, died peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015.

Loving husband of Leonora Glineckis Jarvis. They were married for 66 years and raised a loving family together.

Albie was the beloved father of Debra A. Jarvis, Christopher A. Jarvis, his wife, Diana, their children Alexandra and Hunter, Albie P. Jarvis, his wife Kathryn, their children, Luke and Adrien, Jeffrey A. Jarvis, his wife, Mary, their children, Derrin, James, Miles, Laura and Greer. Also loving father of the late Peter Lawrence Jarvis. Dear brother of the late Alice J. Sturgis. Brother-in-law of Regina G. Alexander and the late Sister Eugenia Glineckis, CJC. Also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.

He embraced his Lithuanian heritage and raised his family under the guidance of the Roman Catholic faith. He was a strong partner in marriage and was blessed with loving, caring children, grandchildren and family members.

He graduated South Boston High School. He was inducted into the service of the U.S. Army during World War II. He trained in the Calvary Unit, then transferred to the 84th Division, Railsplitters Unit and was sent into active combat at the Battle of the Bulge as a Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the bronze star Medal for his heroic service in organizing his squad who were exposed to direct hostile fire from German infantrymen. The skirmish resulted in the capture of 78 prisoners. Sgt. Jarvis and his battalion was then enabled to continue their advance.

After the war, he attended George Washington University, D.C. graduating in 1951 with a degree in finance. He began his service with the Federal Home Bank Board as an examiner and advanced to the position of Assistant District Director of the District of Boston.

Playing golf was his favorite pastime. His greatest joy was sharing many summer vacations with his entire family, attending church, school, holiday, birthday and sports events with them.

He worked tirelessly hosting and cooking for fellow members of the Musketeer Lodge and Council 27 of the Knights of Lithuania.

We will remember him as a man of great integrity and strong faith with a passionate devotion to his family. He will be terribly missed but will live forever in the hearts of the family and friends left behind.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Irene's Church, 181 East St., Carlisle, MA. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment will be in New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
