Albert T. Frizzell, 84, having lived in Carlisle for 59 years, died at his home last Sunday, April 11, following a lengthy illness.

Al was born and raised in Waltham and was the son of the late William and Viola (Tower) Frizzell and brother of the late Robert Frizzell and Barbara Comeau.

After graduation from Waltham High School, he established Bedford Auto Parts in 1957, a small auto parts store at 34 South Street in Bedford with help from his brother Bob Frizzell and his brother-in-law Earl Comeau. Over the years, he expanded the business to include other auto part stores in the local area, all of which were his pride and joy.

Beyond auto parts, he became very skilled with development of property in both residential and commercial real estate.  He had a keen eye for the potential of property.

In his youth, he was taught the value of a dollar by his mother who instilled the concepts of savings and careful planning. He had a strong desire to provide for his family and the future generations.

He enjoyed spending time with family at his summer homes at Moosehead Lake in Maine and Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.

He was a member of the Carlisle Congregational Church for 55 years and was a former Trustee.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Violet F. (Cox), his children, Kathy Kenton and her husband Jim, William Frizzell, Keith Frizzell and his wife Sara, and Douglas Frizzell and his wife Jennifer, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
