Jeffrey L. Hebert, 48, of Bedford died suddenly on June 15, 2013, in Burlington while participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge Bedford Kids Ride for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Jeff was born on May 9, 1965, in Fall River, MA, and was the son of Arthur L. and Nancy A. (Ostapow) Hebert of North Carolina.
He was a graduate of Milford Area Senior High School in Milford, NH. Jeff spent his first year of college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and subsequently transferred to Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH where he earned his degree in Computer Systems.
For the past six years he was employed as a senior technical writer at Black Duck Software in Burlington.
Jeff was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors and activities he enjoyed that included hiking, fishing, camping, and motorcycling. His most cherished activities involved anything with his daughter, Nicole. Whether it was a quiet day on the river kayaking, encouraging the Destination Imagination team in their run to DI Globals, or helping to coach softball, he was always there to support and love his daughter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Lisa A. Felice, beloved daughter, Nicole, dear brother, Greg and his wife, Kate and their daughter, Alicia, of Bradenton, FL as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.
His funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford on Friday, June 21, at 9:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Thursday, June 20, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
